Kettlebell Inspiration

Those of you who are not familiar with kettlebells, this exercise is difficult. A 28 kg is approximately 62 lbs, half of her weight.  This video should be used as an inspiration for women to get into using kettlebells for strength training.

Being strong is not only for men. Weight training is beneficial for females of all ages. It helps with overall health, well-being and physique. There is no need to go to the gym and get your “cardio fix” running on the treadmill for 45 minutes or cruising on the elliptical for an hour. “Cardio machines” comes from cardiovascular. As long as you are keeping your heart rate up during your workouts, you are getting an efficient workout.  You can do this by performing weight bearing exercises in circuit fashion, at high intensities with an active recovery. For example, you could do bike intervals 1:00 min on and 1:00 min “off”. During the 1:00 min “off”, hop off the bike and do 20 KB Swings. You are working your cardiovascular system as well as your muscles, using two different methods at high intensities to get a great total body workout.

So get off those boring cardio machines, and hit the free weights ladies!
