Kettlebell Work

Due to my minor running “setback” that is causing me to stay off the streets of Boston, I have focused my attention on working with kettlebells. I have worked briefly with them this summer at Athletic Evolution, where I learned some of the basics (Squats, Swings, Single Leg RDL). Now that I do not have running to clear my head, I need something to interest me; to challenge me. So I spun the bottle and it landed on kettlebell work.

Try out this kettlebell workout: It took me about 60 minutes

Warmup:

4-Part Squat (x6)

Spiderman T-Spine Rotations (x5 each side)

KB Two Hand Swings (10 reps x2)

Workout: Pick a weight that you can maintain for 5 sets

One-Handed KB Swing (Ladder 4:1 alternating sides)

4 High Pulls (each side)

KB Snatch (Ladder 4:1 alternating sides)

Turkish Getup (x3 each side)

Goblet Squat (x10)

Halo (x10)

Repeat 5 times!

I will keep you posted on my upcoming kettlebell workouts. Remember, every expert was once a beginner, so try it out for yourself!
